The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve, where California’s state flower blooms all along the hillsides between early February to the beginning of June, is one of the amazing sights to take in, in this charming desert town. Visitors, and Instagram influencers, come out in droves during the annual California Poppy Festival which is scheduled during the highest bloom of the season. The beauty of the fields of poppies is accentuated by the live music, food and classic car show that takes place at the festival every year. Get there early to beat the crowds, but don’t step on the poppies!
Wine & More
Lancaster is also home to a burgeoning wine industry. Charter your bus rental to the Antelope Valley Winery, one of the premier wineries in the area. The winery offers tastings of wines made with local grapes, as well as tours, and picnic lunches on the ground’s beautiful vineyard. Pair a bottle of red, white, or Rosé with fruits, nuts, and baked goods procured on-site from the organic farmers market, or the grass-fed buffalo and game meats of Leona Valley farms.
